Club increasingly likely to lose incredible star for nothing, now Tottenham want him

Players from Tottenham are having fun.
Now that it seems more probable that they may lose a top midfield player for nothing, Tottenham is keeping an eye on him this summer.

With Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s contract about to expire next year, it seems that Spurs will not be able to retain the Dane. As a result, Ange Postecoglou may try to bolster his midfield with a replacement more in line with his playing philosophy.

Under Postecoglou, Hojbjerg has made significant contributions and been used often, although the most of his games have been as bench warmers. Fabrizio Romano supports the idea that the 28-year-old would leave N17 in an effort to get more playing time.

Spurs are keeping an eye on players like Chelsea star Conor Gallagher who are being linked to replacing Hojbjerg before 2024–2025.

In the last two months, Ederson, an Atalanta midfielder, and James Garner of Everton have both been suggested as potential targets for Tottenham. It seems that Johan Lange, the technical director, has shortlisted Gallagher’s options in the event that he signs a new Chelsea contract.

As a Gallagher substitute, Gardner is certainly someone Tottenham might consider, writer Dean Jones said in February while speaking with GiveMeSport.

“Obviously, evaluating the summer transfer window is premature. We are aware that Tottenham is still holding out hope that Conor Gallagher will become available, and the more they wait to make a decision on his contract, the more likely it is that something will happen.

However, in the unlikely event that Conor Gallagher signs a contract extension, they must have a list of contacts they may call right away. Additionally, James Garner seems to suit the description, so he’s definitely someone to watch out for.”

The name Wilfried Ndidi, a midfielder for Leicester City, is now being mentioned in the news. As the summer transfer window draws closer, it is not out of the question that fresh targets may surface on a weekly basis.

This season, in 26 Championship matches, the 53-cap Nigerian player has five assists and two goals. If Ndidi hadn’t missed time due to injury from December to March, these figures would have been higher. Ndidi made a valuable contribution to Leicester’s promotion campaign.

The 27-year-old’s contract expires at the conclusion of current campaign, and HITC reports that Tottenham might be his summer destination.

Ndidi is being eyed by Tottenham, and Leicester is expected to lose him.
Lange and company have taken note of the fact that Leicester are “increasingly likely” to lose Ndidi for nothing. Ndidi is reportedly being pursued by Spurs and a number of other elite teams on a free transfer; he may be a more affordable choice to replace Hojbjerg.

“What a fantastic player,” ex-Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers said.

“He performs the grunt work, while the attacking players receive the glory. He can sense danger in the game and constantly finds himself there since he has this brain for it. His challenge is timed well, and he can win the ball back just as well as the best players.”
