Carlo Ancelotti might send €70m Real Madrid star to Tottenham on loan in January
Tottenham Hotspur could be gearing up for an intriguing transfer move in January, with Real Madrid’s highly-rated youngster, Endrick, emerging as a potential target.
The 18-year-old Brazilian sensation, regarded as one of the brightest talents in global football, was acquired by Real Madrid from Palmeiras in 2022 for an eye-watering €70 million.
Since joining Madrid’s first team this season, Endrick has appeared nine times under Carlo Ancelotti, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
Despite his obvious potential, however, he’s clocked just 107 minutes of playing time—a minimal amount for a player of his caliber, especially one needing game time to accelerate his development.
Rumors suggest Ancelotti might loan Endrick out in January, giving him the experience he needs to reach his potential more quickly. This news has attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus, two clubs willing to offer him substantial minutes on the pitch.
Tottenham, in particular, could see the addition of Endrick as a way to strengthen their attacking options, though it’s unclear how he would fit into a squad already brimming with forward talent.
With their current forward lineup, Tottenham may question if adding Endrick is truly necessary.
Under manager Ange Postecoglou, the team has an array of attacking options and is currently developing one of their own promising young wingers, 17-year-old Mikey Moore. Introducing a player like Endrick could limit opportunities for Moore, who is working hard to break into the first team and gain more minutes across the season.
By focusing on nurturing their own talent, Spurs can maintain balance within their squad and ensure long-term stability.
Additionally, a loan move to another La Liga club might be more beneficial for Endrick’s career trajectory. As his long-term future is tied to Real Madrid, spending time adapting to La Liga’s playing style would allow him to seamlessly transition back to Madrid when the time comes.
A Spanish club would provide him with the chance to gain valuable experience in the very league where he’s expected to shine in the future, helping him adapt both to the style of play and competitive intensity unique to La Liga.
For Tottenham, bringing in Endrick could be seen as a chance to boost their attacking depth, but they’ll need to weigh the potential impact on their existing players and developmental plans.
