Bid on table: Tottenham now make £37M offer to sign “fantastic” new player for Ange

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly submitted a £37 million offer to secure the signing of an emerging attacking talent who has impressed this season. However, it appears the deal may not materialize until the summer transfer window.

At the season’s midway point, Spurs find themselves struggling in the lower half of the Premier League table. Ange Postecoglou’s team has endured a disappointing campaign, losing more matches than they have won.

Reports from Spain suggest that Spurs have submitted a €45 million (£37.3 million) bid for Brighton’s Facundo Buonanotte, currently on loan at Leicester City.

Buonanotte, an Argentina international, has been making waves at the King Power Stadium this season. Despite Leicester City’s struggles, which see them languishing in the relegation zone, the 20-year-old forward has delivered notable performances. In 15 Premier League appearances, he has contributed four goals and two assists, showcasing his ability to make an impact.

Buonanotte’s versatility and potential have attracted widespread attention. Talent scout Jacek Kulig described him on X (formerly Twitter) as “fantastic” and a “huge talent.” Tottenham reportedly view the young forward as a vital addition to their long-term plans. The offer reflects their commitment to bolstering their attacking options with a player they believe could become a key figure for the club in the future.

The Argentinian forward remains under contract with Brighton until 2028, earning £25,000 per week. Despite his long-term deal, Brighton’s attacking depth under manager Fabian Hurzeler could make a move to Tottenham an appealing option for Buonanotte.

A summer transfer would provide him with the opportunity for regular first-team football and a chance to shine on a bigger stage.

Although any deal for Buonanotte is unlikely to be finalized until the summer, his arrival could address Tottenham’s need for a versatile forward.
