Star centre back ruled out of the Tottenham game this weekend – will be out for 6 to 8 weeks

The news that Crystal Palace player Marc Guehi will miss this weekend’s encounter against Tottenham is good news for the North London team.

The centre defender, who was linked to a summer transfer to Spurs, is expected to miss six to eight weeks of action due to an injury, according to the Athletic.

Heung-min Spurs and Son will have a busy week of preparations.

Oliver Glasner, the recently appointed manager of Palace, will take a hit from this ahead of this weekend’s match, but Ange Postecoglou will benefit.

Tottenham will be looking to overcome The Eagles and get revenge for their 2-1 loss to Wolves.

They lost their games against Nottingham Forest and Fulham, and as a result, dropped to fifth position. Spurs still have the game in hand despite now trailing Unai Emery’s team by five points.

If Ange Postecoglou’s team hopes to place in the top 4, they cannot afford any more mistakes.

Spurs are in a strong position to finish in the top four since they are just concentrating on the league and are not involved in any other competitions.

Aston Villa, on the other side, has been drawn to play Ajax in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
