Agreement not Reached between Tottenham and club over £50M star

The rumours about Conor Gallagher leaving aren’t going away; in fact, as the January transfer window draws closer, they’re becoming more and more loud.

Gianluca Di Marzio has been the most vocal this weekend, claiming that Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are “trying to reach agreement” on a €40 million transaction. Spurs are reportedly not prioritising the midfield this time around, despite the fact that we were unable to reach an agreement on a £50 million deal last summer.

Therefore, it may be comforting to know that, at least for the time being, CBS’s Ben Jacobs and a few other people who are perhaps closer to the matter than most have already refuted the most recent Di Marzio rumour, asserting that the two clubs are “not in formal talks yet.” It’s evident that the word “yet” is worrying.

Thus, let’s hope that things stay as they are and don’t become worse—especially in the midst of the season!—or even turn into a contract extension.
