10 games, 12 goals: Spurs have a teen superstar who is the dream Kane heir

There is an abundance of exceptional young talent in the north London area at the moment.

This season, there has been a lot to be thrilled about at N17. Under Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham Hotspur has been playing well amid frustrating roadblocks, with injuries and bans having been a major storyline throughout the summer.

However, Spurs’ 2-1 Premier League loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers on the road revealed a harsh reality: Spurs’ inconsistent play continues, and until it is resolved, their chances of qualifying for the Champions League may very well go.

Although Postecoglou’s project is still in its early stages, there have been indications of improvement that point to the Australian’s suitability in the dugout. He has already made a number of interesting recruits to fit into chairman Daniel Levy’s transfer strategy while executing a free-flowing match plan.

It’s undeniable that Harry Kane left for better opportunities after the disappointing conclusion of the previous season, even if there have been some excellent additions (James Maddison and Micky van de Ven, stand out).

After Kane completed a £100 million move in August, ending an incredible journey that cemented his legend status in Tottenham history—the club record scorer with 278 goals from 430 games—Bayern Munich was only too happy to provide the 30-year-old a platform.

Despite the Bundesliga winners’ current struggles, Kane has adjusted well to life in Germany, amassing 28 goals and dishing out eight assists from 29 games across all competitions.

Although Richarlison and Heung-min Son have been giving Spurs plenty of free passes this season, Kane’s departure has created a void that is difficult to fill.

The £411k-per-week sensation came up through the youth ranks to become one of the best strikers in Premier League history, therefore it would only be beneficial if Tottenham could pull off the same feat and elevate another academy graduate.

The Oscar winner who may take Kane’s spot

Despite his youth, Mikey Moore has all the makings of a future great Kane replacement.

How many times has the Premier League seen a highly regarded prospect fail to make the transition into a senior role? Tottenham has an abundance of young talent; Wayne Burnett’s U21 squad leads Premier League 2 right now after 11 victories and 1 tie in 12 games. However, not every player will be successful in the starting lineup.

Moore is just 16 years old and has already exceeded expectations in Tottenham colors, so it is difficult to use the fact that he has not yet advanced to U21 action against him.

In only 10 U18 Premier League games this season, Moore has astonishingly recorded 12 goals and seven assists. Moore is often used as a center-forward but is sometimes occasionally used on the flank and in a deeper position.

The young player, who was dubbed a “superstar” by renowned writer Fabrizio Romano, has surprised everyone by outperforming his age with incredible finishing and tactical awareness, which have enabled him to identify gaps and support teammates with scary consistency.

Although it will take some time for the ace to establish himself as a regular member of Tottenham’s first team, if his excellent start holds, it won’t be long until he steps onto the field.

Moore is a lethal goal scorer and an all-around great up front who has the potential to be as good as Kane, one of the best forwards in Spurs’ adolescent talent pool.
