Tuchel shares what he did which shocked Eric Dier after his move from Tottenham
Thoughts on Eric Dier’s first few minutes with Bayern Munich since leaving Tottenham Hotspur have been shared by Thomas Tuchel, the manager of Bayern Munich.
Given how little Dier played this season under Ange Postecoglou, the back must be happy with how his future turned out.
The English player is now playing with Harry Kane in the Bundesliga and could play a big part right away.
Dier was on the bench for Bayern’s first game last night against Union Berlin.
But because Dayot Upamecano got hurt at halftime and had to leave the game, Dier was brought on.
The English player played the whole second half and kept a clean sheet, which was very important as his new team tried to catch Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the table.
After the game, Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel talked to Sky Germany about Dier’s first few minutes since leaving Tottenham.
Tuchel liked his new defender, but he said it would have been strange for him to play the whole half.
Thomas Tuchel thought Eric Dier’s first few minutes after leaving Tottenham were great.
Florian Plettenberg, a writer, shared Tuchel’s words on X.
And it looks like Dier’s first game for Bayern pleased both the fans and his new boss.
At the end of the game, Tuchel said, “As expected.” You can feel him there. He’s up to the task.
“He was surprised to play a half.” It was good, but he lacks flow.
Of course, it looks like Dier could get a lot more chances to play for the first team now that Upamecano is hurt.
Now is maybe even the time for the English center back to show Gareth Southgate why he should be in his thoughts before the summer.
Südgate always liked Dier when he was at Tottenham, and Tuchel’s faith in the center back could be a good sign.
People who love Spurs will be glad to see Dier play football again; he’ll always be a fan favorite.
Even though he didn’t work well with Postecoglou and Dier, there was no question that he could still do his best for another team.
