Want to be fast – Romano says Tottenham in talks to quickly seal another January deal

Tottenham Hotspur will make signing Antonio Nusa “their big focus in the next days” because manager Ange Postecoglou has called him a “special talent.” Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano told GIVEMESPORT exclusively why important people at Hotspur Way are eager to reach a quick agreement with Club Brugge.

Spurs have been busy since the winter transfer window opened at the beginning of the year. The north Londoners haven’t been content since RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner came on loan, with the option to make the deal permanent for £15 million.

Postecoglou is still looking for players before the February 1 deadline, even though Tottenham chose to go after Serie A after adding central defender Radu Dragusin from Genoa for £26.7 million to improve their scoring options.

Spurs are in talks about a deal with Nusa
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham and Club Brugge are in talks about a deal for Nusa. They want to make sure they are first in line to sign him because Chelsea, another London club, has been watching his progress since he joined the first team.

The Belgian giants are reportedly asking for £25 million for the 18-year-old, who has shown a lot of promise by setting up seven goals in 27 games this season. They will also likely try to keep him on loan for the rest of the season.

Tottenham is said to have set up another round of talks with Club Brugge because they know that other teams want to sign Nusa. However, he is likely to stay at the Jan Breydel Stadium until the summer because he doesn’t want to leave in the middle of the season, which will please manager Ronny Deila because he has caused a lot of problems for opponents.

Respected journalist Romano recently told GIVEMESPORT that Spurs have already met with the Belgian Pro League giants twice to talk about the possibility of signing the Norway international before the transfer window closes, but they won’t make an official offer until they are sure they can reach an agreement.

Club Brugge has a good bargaining position because Nusa is not eager to start a new job right now and still has three-and-a-half years left on his deal. This makes it harder for Postecoglou to find a third player before February 1.

Attacking for the left side would give Tottenham captain Heung-min Son more freedom as the centre of the offence. Son has been with the Lilywhites since August 2015, when he signed for £22 million from Bayer Leverkusen.

Romano knows that Tottenham wants to sign Nusa badly because they think he has a bright future ahead of him. Furthermore, they are stepping up their efforts because they are afraid that other clubs will try to sign him before them.

Postecoglou has made the teenager a top goal for the last few days of the transfer window, so the Italian writer knows that Spurs will be in touch with Club Brugge again soon to talk about the player.

Romano said to GIVEMESPORT:

“They want him so badly because they think Antonio Nusa will be a great player.” Tottenham wants to get him because he is a very talented player in a situation where they need someone for now and the future.

It’s also known that other teams, mostly in England, want Antonio Nusa, so they want to move quickly and seal the deal as soon as possible.

Spurs will be in touch with Club Brugge again in the next few days about Nusa. In the coming days, I think this will be their main area of attention.

Spurs were ready for another offer from the Royals

Premier League Brasil, a newspaper in South America, says that Al-Nassr will come back with a better offer for Emerson Royal, worth close to £30 million. They are determined to get the Tottenham right back before the deadline, which is coming up quickly.

The report says that the Saudi Arabian big spenders know it will be hard to get the 25-year-old player. He has been in the capital since August 2021, when he signed a £25.8 million deal from Barcelona. He is happy in north London, and Spurs don’t want to sell him in the middle of the season.

Tottenham also has a strong talking position because Royal still has two-and-a-half years left on his £40,000-per-week deal. This makes it hard for Al-Nassr to come to an agreement since the transfer market closes in less than two weeks.

Tottenham is looking for a new player because Hojbjerg might leave

The Brazilian didn’t push for a move, even though he could get good personal terms if he joined Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane at Al-Awwal Park. This is why the Lilywhites turned down an opening bid of £20 million a few days ago.

Since the season started, Royal has played 18 times, and Postecoglou has grown to value him more while Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero have been out with injuries or suspensions.
