Spurs star sends exit request to Levy after impressive Werner debut

Spurs signed Timo Werner last week, which hurt his chances of getting a regular spot in the team even more. With the German coming in, it will be even more competitive for minutes out wide.

After a great first game against Manchester United on Sunday, he may get more chances to show what he can do in the weeks to come.

Werner set up Rodrigo Bentancur’s goal in his start, which ended in a 2-2 tie. Gil, who came on for the last 10 minutes, couldn’t turn the game in Tottenham’s favour. Because he is 22 years old, the player has only played two Premier League games this season.

Top scorer Son Heung-min is at the Asian Cup, so Werner is likely to stay on the left wing. Brennan Johnson, on the other hand, has been a constant on the right. The likes of Richarlison, Dejan Kulusevski, and Manor Solomon can also play on the wings.

We don’t know yet if Spurs will agree to Gil’s specific request to leave the club, or if he will have to finish the season in England. When he turned 18, the young player became a full Spain international. He has played his best in La Liga.

During this trade window, Tottenham has been busier than any other Premier League team. Hugo Lloris and Eric Dier are leaving the club, and Djed Spence is going on loan to another team. Werner and Radu Dragusin are now regular members of the team.
