Tottenham Are In Race To bring in Norwich Winger: Good Choice For Ange?

This week, Football.London said that Tottenham Hotspur is in the running to sign Norwich City winger Jonathan Rowe. Spurs are reportedly interested in signing the English wide player before the end of the month.

Rowe’s recent good form at Carrow Road

Rowe has had a great season at the Norfolk club because he has been responsible for a number of good performances in the closing third. In 28 games this season, the 20-year-old has scored 12 goals and set up 3 others for Norwich in all categories.

In the EFL Championship, the skilled wing wizard has stood out in the other team’s half, where he averages 1.9 goals, 1.0 key passes, and 1.2 dribbles per game. His pass success rate of 73.5% in the second level of English football (numbers from whoscored) shows that he is not good at passing the ball in the attacking end of the field.

His deal with the English club ends in the summer of 2025. So, Spurs might be able to get him for less money at the end of the season.

Is Rowe a good choice for him?

When he has the ball in his hands, Rowe can dribble it well and make some nice drives when the ball is out in the wide areas. He can see what his partners need to do to make chances for them in the final third and shoot the ball with power and accuracy from far away.

This season, the English striker has done well to score a lot of goals. He usually plays on the left side as a wide player, but he can also play on the right side or as the tenth player if needed.

Spurs manager Angelos Postecoglu would get more punch from Rowe. He could become a big star at the North London club when he turns 20. With this in mind, Spurs should go after Rowe in the long term.

But it’s still not clear if Rowe can keep up his good play in the top leagues if Postecoglu is able to sign him this winter or at the end of the season.
