Spurs To Open On Incredible £30M Ace Who Could Cost Nothing
Spurs is said to want to sign Lloyd Kelly, a defender for Bournemouth, but they could wait until the summer transfer window.
Spurs might want to add to their defense during the summer transfer window, especially since Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero are both hurt.
Italian clubs AC Milan and Juventus have talked to Kelly’s agents about a possible pre-contract deal. However, he could still stay at Bournemouth or sign a new deal with the team.
Tottenham Hotspur is apparently interested in getting Lloyd Kelly, a defender for Bournemouth. Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth gave GIVEMESPORT an update on their chase. Kelly’s deal with Bournemouth ends at the end of the season.
As of January, Spurs had already signed Radu Dragusin, a defender from Genoa, but it looks like they may want to add another center back sometime in 2024. The north London team wants to be near the top of the Premier League table, so it will be important for them to have top-level players all over the team, not just in the starting eleven.
Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero have both had injuries this season, which means Ange Postecoglou may look to keep adding to his defense. Spurs already signed Dragusin in January, so a move in that month might not seem possible. However, they may look to improve this area again in the summer.
Tottenham wants Kelly because of an unsure deal
Kelly’s £30,000-a-week deal with the Cherries is set to end at the end of the season. Since he hasn’t agreed to a new deal with Bournemouth yet, it’s looking more and more likely that he will leave.
As of December, TEAMtalk said that Bournemouth had given Kelly a new contract that could make him their highest-paid player at the club. However, the defender has not yet signed the new contract.

At the start of December, Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola revealed that Kelly would be out for “some weeks” because of an illness. This has slowed his progress so far this season. The Evening Standard says that Spurs are likely to renew their interest in Kelly, even though he hasn’t played much. They were interested in him during the summer transfer window.
According to Football Insider, Liverpool will be competing with Tottenham to sign Kelly. An offer of around £30 million should be enough to get the Cherries to let go of the back.
His deal ends at the end of the season, so Bournemouth might have to sell him to keep him from going for free, unless they are sure they can get him to stay at the Vitality Stadium for another season.
