Nightmare As Bayern Munich hijack tottenham transfer pursuit of star
Tottenham’s pursuit of Genoa’s Radu Dragusin faces potential competition from Bayern Munich, as the Bundesliga side eyes defensive reinforcements and considers the centre-back as a prime target for the ongoing transfer window.
Under Ange Postecoglou’s management, Tottenham has witnessed a rejuvenation this season, implementing an attacking, high-pressing style. Recent additions like James Maddison, Guglielmo Vicario, and Micky van de Ven have elevated the team’s standards, with further signings anticipated to bolster the squad.
Injuries posing a consistent threat to their top-four ambitions, Spurs are actively seeking reinforcements at both defensive and offensive ends. Negotiations for RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner on a loan deal for the season are on the verge of completion, with a potential permanent move at its conclusion.
Securing a centre-back remains a priority for Tottenham, engaging in discussions with Genoa for Dragusin’s acquisition. However, Spurs aren’t the sole contenders vying for the 21-year-old’s signature.
Per BILD, Bayern Munich has included the Romanian international in their shortlist of defensive targets. Thomas Tuchel expresses a strong interest in acquiring the defender’s services, potentially prompting the higher management at the Allianz Arena to consider tabling an offer for Dragusin.
Despite ongoing negotiations, an agreement on the transfer fee for Dragusin has yet to be reached. Genoa is reportedly seeking a fee of at least £25 million to part ways with their No. 5 in the winter window, whereas Tottenham aims to negotiate a fee closer to £20 million.
