Tottenham Player May Have Suffered Damage As Disgusting Footage Emerges
Following the Yves Bissouma incident during Tottenham vs Nottingham Forest, a doctor shares a claim for ligament injury.
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Rajpal Brar, a specialist on injuries, as a new exclusive writer. He will provide his opinions on Tottenham Hotspur’s injury status every week.
Dr Rajpal Brar suggests that Ryan Yates of Nottingham Forest may have suffered ligament injury as a result of Yves Bissouma, a Tottenham midfielder.
After going head-to-head with the Forest star, the Mali international was given a red card; however, this occurred after VAR entered the match on December 15.
As video of the challenge surfaced on December 17, at 9:53 p.m., Tim Sherwood of Premier League Productions criticised the midfield player, stating, “That is a disgusting tackle by Bissouma.” Why must he do this task?
Dr. Brar, a sports scientist and physical therapist, spoke exclusively with Tottenham News about the current state of play with Bissouma.
“I have to agree with Sherwood’s judgement, characterising it as an abhorrent task.
“There’s a chance the opponent’s planted foot might harm certain knee ligaments if sufficient power is applied.
“Just a shoddy challenge that could jeopardise people’s safety.”
The 27-year-old will serve a four-game suspension for receiving the red card, which is his second sending-off of the year.
He won’t be available for the first team until at least the end of the month due to his January travels for the Africa Cup of Nations.
He missed Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Everton and is expected to miss the next matches against Burnley, Brighton, and Bournemouth.
