Tottenham target to rebuff new contract from London rivals, wants to leave in 2024

Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly interested in Fulham centre back Tosin Adarabioyo, although the trade doesn’t seem practical right now.

Fulham centre defender Tosin Adarabioyo is reportedly close to leaving his present team, according to the Express. Though the tall defender is probably going to remain there until his contract expires at the end of the season, a January move to Spurs has grown more complicated.

But Tosin, who attracted interest from Monaco and Tottenham during the last transfer window, is expected to turn it down because he wants to go on a free transfer.

With only a few months remaining on his contract, Fulham is still expecting the Manchester City youth product to stay with them come January.

Marco Silva seems to be upbeat about the prospect that Tosin may have a change of heart before the season ends.

Tosin has already made 113 appearances since moving from Manchester City to Fulham in 2020. During his tenure with the club, he saw many highs and lows, including their relegation from the Premier League. Due to groyne surgery, he has missed 11 Premier League games so far this season.

Due to injury, Micky Van De Ven and James Maddison have lost significant amounts of time, but the team has managed to function without them. Yves Bissouma and Destiny Udogie, who were given bans for their cards in the game against Nottingham Forest, will now be unable to play Everton.

Spurs’ top transfer objective for the next January transfer window is now acquiring a new center-back. This Saturday, Postecoglou’s club will take against Everton, but once again, they will have to deal with a long list of players who are ruled out.

To bolster their defensive line, Tottenham will undoubtedly try to recruit him for a fair price. That being said, a lot will depend on the 26-year-old and his choices. Though Fulham is currently behind the fight to win his contract extension, Silva isn’t giving up on pushing for a renewal.
