Next year: Tim Sherwood thinks 23yr old Nottingham Forest player to join Tottenham in 2024

If Nottingham Forest gets relegated this season, Tim Sherwood has said that he can see Morgan Gibbs-White playing for Tottenham Hotspur the next season.

Last night, Spurs defeated the Reds 2-0 with ease. Ange Postecglou’s team was sent over the edge by goals from Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski, and it seems like they are now back on course. There was nothing that Gibbs-White and his Nottingham Forest colleagues could do to stop them.

Regarding the price tag, many people at the time raised their eyebrows. For the Reds, the 23-year-old has been outstanding, but not many people thought he was worth that much money.

In the previous Premier League season, Gibbs-White made 37 appearances and contributed to Forest’s survival. He was a multi-position player who ended the season with five goals and eight assists.

Along with Taiwo Awoniyi, the versatile Reds star has been in every game for Forest this season and is perhaps their finest player.

Before the game, Tim Sherwood made a statement on Gibbs-White, saying he could realistically see the 23-year-old playing for Tottenham the next season if Nottingham Forest is relegated.

“If there’s one player from the Forest team who can play for Tottenham, I think Morgan Gibbs-White can play for Tottenham,” he said on Premier League Productions.

“If Forest is in the Championship, which I don’t believe they will be, I can see him playing from next year.”

Morgan Gibbs-White has a promising future ahead of him

Gibbs-White plays football very well.

Since the beginning of the previous season, the midfielder has excelled under Steve Cooper, and he is consistently among the first names on the team sheet.

Gibbs-White is a very intriguing athlete because of his work ethic, skill, and potential. Another excellent quality is his versatility, and because he is still just 23 years old, he will only get better.

In the summer, Gibbs-White was linked to Tottenham, but no deal came to fruition. Spurs are likely to want to sign him if Forest does not succeed this season. James Maddison seems to already be a huge admirer of him.
