Very disrespectful: Pundit thinks Spurs star has now become a problem for Postecoglou
Jamie O’Hara is frustrated with Cristian Romero’s lack of self-control and believes the Argentinean will never stop taking risks in his battles.
Romero was sent off for his tackle on Enzo Fernandez last month and was just recently back from a three-game ban. In his first game back, the center defender almost made the same error.
The 25-year-old made a terrible tackle on Callum Wilson in the 80th minute as Spurs were easily winning over Newcastle. His studs caught the Magpies striker in the ankle.
Thank goodness, Referee Chris Kavanagh chose to show a yellow card rather of a red one to Tottenham and the defense.
Romero was fortunate to avoid being sent off, according to a number of experts, including Jamie Redknapp, Michael Dawson, and Gary Neville. The latter even questioned the role the Argentine is playing as the club’s vice captain. (Sky Sports via The Mirror).
O’Hara anticipates Cristian Romero committing another offense
Romero is starting to provide a problem for Ange Postecoglou, according to O’Hara, who doesn’t think the center back has what it takes to alter his habits.
Regarding the incident, the former Spurs midfielder said to talkSPORT on December 12, 9:40 a.m.: “I just don’t understand what goes through his head; he’s a fantastic player, a world-class player.”
And I am aware that he plays riskily; other athletes take risks all the time. You just returned from a three-game ban.
“I simply believe he has to learn to be able to [stop], but I just don’t think he can,” the player said. “If he gets sent off, he gets four games. I believe it’s simply a natural aspect of him as a player and the aggressive manner he attacks.
“He presents a challenge for us, but the players support him, and he excels when he’s on the field despite playing at the edge.” He doesn’t dedicate enough time to it, which is the issue.

Postescoglou or one of his aides would undoubtedly talk to Romero about the incident and tell him how fortunate he was not to face a harsher penalty. It remains to be seen whether that has the intended impact on the 25-year-old.
