Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering another move for AS Roma forward Paulo Dybala ahead of the summer transfer window.
The North London side have admired the Argentine attacker for several years and could reignite their interest if he becomes available on a free transfer. With Spurs looking to strengthen their attacking options, Dybala is viewed as a player capable of adding creativity, experience, and versatility to the squad.
The 32-year-old enjoyed another productive campaign in Italy, registering 11 goal contributions despite battling injuries throughout the season. Comfortable as a striker, second forward, or wide attacker, Dybala’s technical quality and playmaking ability could offer Tottenham an extra dimension in the final third.
A move to the Premier League may appeal to the World Cup winner as he approaches the latter stages of his career. Tottenham are believed to be monitoring his contractual situation closely, with Roma yet to fully resolve his long-term future.
According to Football Insider, Spurs previously attempted to sign Dybala and remain long-term admirers of the former Juventus star. Transfer insider Pete O’Rourke stated that Premier League clubs are expected to show interest should the Argentine leave Roma this summer.
He said:
“Tottenham have been long-term admirers of him, they tried to get a deal done a few years ago. On his day, he’s a top player and has shown that consistently in Serie A with Juventus and Roma.”
While concerns over his age and injury record could make some clubs hesitant, Tottenham may view the chance to sign a player of Dybala’s calibre on a free transfer as a low-risk, high-reward opportunity.
Spurs have also been linked with several experienced and free-agent targets this summer as they aim to add depth and leadership to the squad ahead of next season.
