Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi has praised Leeds’ recent performances, insisting they deserve their current league position after a well-timed unbeaten run.
Leeds could officially confirm survival before kick-off if West Ham United lose to Arsenal. A recent win over Burnley has lifted them nine points clear of danger and up to 14th in the table.
Despite Tottenham’s own struggles, De Zerbi stressed the importance of perspective and consistency:
“Leeds are playing very well and deserve to be where they are. We must remember where we were before the Wolverhampton game. In football, everything changes quickly — if you lose, you’re ‘stupid’; if you win, you’re a ‘champion’.”
Leeds, led by Daniel Farke, are not easing off. The squad remains focused on finishing as high as possible, with financial incentives and momentum both at stake.
With fixtures against Spurs and West Ham still to come, Leeds could yet play a decisive role in determining who drops from the Premier League.
