Agents working hard to find Brazilian a new club, he’d consider joining Tottenham – journalist

Tottenham have received a small but meaningful lift in their hopes of landing a Brazil international, as the player’s representatives continue to search for a new club ahead of the January window. It comes at a time when the London side desperately need attacking help, with creativity fading fast and pressure increasing on Thomas Frank only months into his spell in charge.

Spurs’ struggles this season have become worrying. Sitting 11th in the league with only 19 points from 13 matches, the team have failed to find consistency in almost every area of the pitch.

What makes the situation worse is their poor home record, which paints a bleak picture of a side unable to make the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium a fortress anymore.

Only one league win at home this season, added to ten home defeats across the calendar year, means this group has equalled one of the lowest points in the club’s history for home performances.

The current Premier League home form table tells its own story:

Burnley2147-2
Nottingham Forest2147-5
West Ham2056-9
Tottenham1245-1
Wolves0161-11

Their recent run has been equally disappointing. Five games without a win in all competitions including defeats to Arsenal, PSG and Fulham has raised real questions about whether Frank is already losing control of the squad.

Monday night’s dramatic 2-2 draw at Newcastle, secured by Cristian Romero’s last-gasp overhead kick, stopped the losing streak from stretching to four, but it did little to silence doubts.

Reports continue to emerge of confusion inside the dressing room, with some players said to be struggling to understand Frank’s constant changes in tactics and team selection.

Xavi Simons is the most notable example of the chaos. The £55 million summer signing was expected to become the creative spark Spurs desperately needed, yet he has started only six league matches and often finds himself benched for important fixtures.

Former Tottenham defender Ramon Vega even accused Frank of “changing his mind every two seconds,” which sums up the atmosphere around the squad right now.

With results fading and performances lacking a clear identity, the January window is becoming vital. Tottenham have been linked with FC Porto striker Samu Aghehowa, while Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo remains a serious target thanks to a £65 million release clause that becomes active next month.

If Spurs lose out on Semenyo to Manchester City, who also admire him, attention could turn to RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande. Reports from journalist Sacha Tavolieri suggest Spurs have already held advanced talks on the player’s side in case they need an alternative.

Amid all this uncertainty, Tottenham have now been handed a glimmer of hope in their pursuit of Real Madrid forward Rodrygo.

According to TEAMtalk’s Graeme Bailey, the north London club are one of the sides the Brazilian would seriously consider joining, as his agents work to secure him a move away from the Bernabéu.

Rodrygo’s situation has taken a sharp turn for the worse this season. Since Xabi Alonso replaced Carlo Ancelotti, the 24-year-old has become one of the biggest victims of the new manager’s tactical reshuffle.

Only four of his fifteen appearances have lasted longer than 45 minutes, and he has increasingly been used as a substitute, falling behind Arda Güler in the internal hierarchy.

His representatives are now speaking with top clubs across England. Arsenal and Liverpool have already begun discussions, while Rodrygo has made it clear he would also welcome moves to Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea or Tottenham. At present, Arsenal, Liverpool, City and Spurs are actively monitoring his situation.

Real Madrid value the winger between £70 million and £79 million, and though they would prefer to keep him until the summer especially with Nico Paz expected to return the player’s camp is starting to push harder for a January switch.

For Tottenham, this would not be an easy deal. They would need to break their transfer record and beat competition from Europe’s biggest sides. But it would also be a major signal of ambition from the club’s ownership as they try to shape a new era beyond the Daniel Levy years.

Rodrygo would bring pace, flair, and unpredictability three things Spurs have been missing for far too long.

Whether they can pull it off is another question entirely. But the door is open, and in a season where Tottenham desperately need a spark, even the smallest encouragement could make a huge difference.
