Paratici plotting to sign two mega-money forwards for Spurs, they’d be the new Kane & Son

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing for one of their most ambitious attacking rebuilds in years, with Fabio Paratici reportedly pushing hard to bring in two major signings who could reshape the club’s forward line for seasons to come.

Spurs have fallen short of the attacking standards expected under Thomas Frank, and the lack of consistent goals is becoming impossible to ignore. Frank has worked with some incredible talents in the past, including Ivan Toney and Bryan Mbeumo during his time at Brentford, both of whom delivered elite-level numbers with more than twenty goals a season.

Right now, Spurs do not have anyone close to offering that kind of output, and with Richarlison leading the scoring charts on just five goals from his first twelve appearances, there is a clear need for quality reinforcements.

With the January transfer window approaching, the club’s hierarchy has already moved quickly behind the scenes to identify new targets capable of transforming the team’s efficiency in the final third.

Tottenham’s search for attacking firepower has led them to Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, a player whose pace, power, and direct threat have caught the attention of several Premier League sides.

Reports suggest Spurs are willing to meet his £65 million release clause, although competition from Arsenal and Liverpool means securing his signature will not be easy.

Semenyo has been a standout performer this season, and his mix of creativity, ball-carrying and defensive work makes him a complete modern winger. His output in front of goal has also improved dramatically, which explains why multiple clubs see him as a long-term asset.

But Semenyo is only one part of Paratici’s plan. Spurs are also targeting a move for Porto striker Samu Aghehowa, one of Europe’s most exciting young forwards. The 21-year-old Spaniard has been in outstanding form, scoring eleven goals in eighteen appearances this season and already showing a level of maturity that belies his age.

His record since joining Porto 36 goals in 60 matches highlights just how clinical he is. Tottenham are reportedly ready to pay around £80 million for his signature, which would take the club’s total investment to £145 million if both deals are completed. That level of commitment signals just how determined the club is to rebuild an attack capable of competing at the highest level again.

For many supporters, memories of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son remain fresh. That partnership was one of the most effective in Premier League history, with the duo combining for an incredible 47 goals more than any other pair since the league began over three decades ago.

Their understanding, chemistry and consistent end product made Spurs a threat against any defence. But with Son now playing in MLS and Kane in Germany, the club has struggled to replace that one-two punch.

Frank would undoubtedly love players of that calibre today, but Semenyo and Samu could offer him something different yet equally dangerous if both transfers go through.

Semenyo’s influence comes from his ability to beat defenders, create chances and apply constant pressure when out of possession. His numbers this season reflect his importance, with nine combined goals and assists in just eleven games.

He completes nearly two dribbles every match, creates strong chances for teammates and offers relentless energy when pressing. He ranks among the top attackers for recoveries in the final third, making him a valuable two-way player.

If he joins Spurs, he would most likely take up the left-wing role, where his direct running and strength would stretch defences and help unlock space for others.

Samu offers something equally important. His movement in the box, sharp instincts and finishing make him a real danger. His shot accuracy of 64% this season and his 0.86 goals per 90 minutes put him among Europe’s most efficient young strikers.

He also averages nearly six touches in the opposition box, demonstrating his ability to find space where it matters most. With Semenyo’s creativity and ball-carrying feeding into Samu’s finishing, Spurs could have a new partnership capable of producing goals consistently.

Both players earn a combined £102k weekly at their current clubs, meaning Spurs would not only be signing high-potential attackers but also doing so with room for growth in their contracts.

An investment of £145 million is significant, but considering their age, talent and the club’s current struggles in front of goal, it could prove to be excellent business.

Tottenham have been searching for the next big attacking duo since Kane and Son departed, and these moves could be exactly what Frank needs to build a forward line capable of threatening the Premier League once again.
