Inter Milan’s towering defender Yann Bisseck has reportedly welcomed the idea of joining Tottenham Hotspur in 2026, in what could be another masterstroke from sporting director Fabio Paratici.
The Italian executive, who recently returned to his behind-the-scenes role at Spurs after a spell away from football activities, has long been known for his sharp eye in the transfer market and his deep network within Serie A.
Working alongside Johan Lange and Vinai Venkatesham, Paratici is once again shaping Tottenham’s long-term transfer vision and Bisseck might just be the next name on his list.
Paratici’s legacy at Tottenham is already clear. Before his suspension, he was instrumental in bringing several key players from Italy to North London a strategy that has paid off handsomely.
Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Dejan Kulusevski were all signed from Serie A clubs and have since become integral figures at the club.
Romero and Kulusevski, in particular, have thrived under Tottenham’s evolving system and are widely considered among the team’s most dependable and talented players.
Now, fresh reports from Gazzetta dello Sport suggest that Spurs could once again look to Italy for reinforcements, with Bisseck at the top of their radar.
The German centre-back, who stands at an imposing 6ft 5in, is admired for his athleticism, composure, and defensive intelligence. Signed by Inter Milan in 2023 from Danish side AGF for just €7 million, he has since developed into one of Serie A’s most promising defenders.
However, despite his progress, Inter reportedly believe that his departure next summer is becoming increasingly likely.

According to Gazzetta, Inter have already begun scouting potential replacements from within the Italian market, preparing for the possibility of losing the 24-year-old.
The same report claims that Bisseck himself is intrigued by the prospect of a Premier League move, with Tottenham seen as an especially appealing destination.
“The prospect of a move to Tottenham is piquing the player and his entourage,” the Italian outlet wrote, suggesting that Bisseck views Spurs as a natural next step in his career.
While West Ham United are also said to hold interest in the German defender, few doubt that Tottenham would win any direct competition for his signature.
The North London side’s growing reputation under Thomas Frank, coupled with their ambitions both domestically and in Europe, makes them a more attractive option for a player of Bisseck’s caliber.
Inter are in a strong financial position regarding any potential sale. The defender is under contract until 2029, which gives the Italian giants the leverage to demand a significant fee.
Given his rapid rise in value since joining from AGF, any transfer would likely cost far more than the initial €7 million investment.
Bisseck’s potential arrival would further strengthen Tottenham’s defensive core, which already boasts the likes of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven two players central to the club’s recent resurgence. Interestingly, van de Ven himself has been attracting attention from Europe’s biggest clubs.
Reports suggest that Real Madrid are monitoring the Dutchman closely ahead of the 2026 summer window, viewing him as one of the finest young defenders in world football.
Tottenham, however, remain determined to keep hold of van de Ven, with insiders insisting there is “zero intention” to sell. The club views him as a cornerstone of their long-term project under Frank, and any approach from Madrid would likely be met with firm resistance.
Spurs’ leadership is confident that their growing competitiveness and the team’s evolving project will convince van de Ven to stay committed for the foreseeable future.
Meanwhile, former Liverpool and England defender Jamie Carragher appears to have shifted his stance on another of Tottenham’s key figures, Joao Palhinha.
Once skeptical about the Portuguese midfielder’s fit at Spurs, Carragher now acknowledges his growing influence and consistency, hailing him as a vital component in the squad’s tactical balance.
If Paratici can secure Bisseck’s signature while retaining Tottenham’s existing defensive pillars, it would mark another major coup for the club.
The blend of youth, power, and experience would provide a defensive backbone strong enough to challenge at the highest levels of European football.
Tottenham’s recruitment strategy under Paratici continues to blend calculated risk with strategic vision. Bisseck’s potential arrival in 2026 would not only reinforce their defensive ranks but also symbolize Spurs’ commitment to building a team capable of sustained success one that combines promise, pedigree, and ambition in equal measure.
