Doctor: Tottenham ace may be out for weeks, injury problems expected until May

Tottenham forward Richarlison remains sidelined with a persistent injury, and according to Dr. Rajpal Brar, he is unlikely to fully recover before the season ends.

The injury expert explains that managing fitness in the middle of a demanding campaign is challenging, especially with matches coming in quick succession. Richarlison last featured in Tottenham’s 4-0 defeat to Liverpool on February 6, and since then, he has been struggling with a calf issue that has kept him out for three weeks.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time the Brazilian has faced fitness problems this season, having dealt with multiple setbacks already.

Dr. Brar, a specialist in physical therapy and sports science, provided insight into Richarlison’s condition and what it means for his return. He stated that the current injury is calf-related and will sideline the attacker for several weeks.

Considering his recurring fitness problems and the stage of the season, Brar does not expect Richarlison to break free from this injury cycle until the campaign concludes, allowing him the necessary time to rebuild his fitness properly.

He emphasized the difficulty of trying to regain peak health in the midst of a relentless fixture schedule, suggesting that Tottenham might have to navigate the rest of the season without their key attacker at full strength.

With Richarlison unlikely to return to top form anytime soon, someone in the squad must step up to fill the void in attack. Timo Werner, who has struggled to make an impact since his move to North London, now has an opportunity to prove himself.

The 28-year-old forward has featured in 17 Premier League matches this season but is yet to find the back of the net. Despite contributing three assists, those numbers fall short of expectations for a player once known for his lethal finishing in Germany.

Ange Postecoglou will be hoping Werner can rediscover his sharpness in front of goal and end the season on a high note. Tottenham’s attack needs a reliable goal-scoring presence, and with Richarlison sidelined, the pressure mounts on the former RB Leipzig striker to deliver.

Werner’s ability to step up in this crucial period could determine Tottenham’s attacking efficiency in the final stretch of the season.
