Sold for £18M, now worth £500k: Spurs struck gold offloading disaster Poch signing

Tottenham Hotspur’s recent transfer activity has positioned manager Ange Postecoglou with an ideal opportunity to secure a top-four Premier League finish this season.

Since his arrival last summer, key first-team additions have strengthened the squad, increasing their chances of securing consistent Champions League football. Despite Wimmer’s struggles, Tottenham made a financially savvy decision by selling him when they did. His lack of contributions to the first team made it a straightforward choice to cash in on the Austrian defender, allowing the club to reinvest in more impactful signings.

This strategy has helped Spurs build a more competitive team over the years.
