Big blow injury setback for Tottenham as Insider claims key man is out for another six weeks
Tottenham winger Wilson Odobert has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury during last month’s Carabao Cup match against Coventry City.
The injury forced the young forward off the field after just 18 minutes of play, and since then, he has missed three consecutive games.
This has been a frustrating blow for the 19-year-old, who had recently made his Tottenham debut in a 4-0 victory over Everton, a match where he showcased his potential and impressed fans with his speed and attacking prowess.
Odobert joined Tottenham from Burnley in August for a reported fee of €29.3 million. His debut against Everton highlighted the promise he holds as a future star for the club.
Unfortunately, just as he was beginning to make his mark, the hamstring injury halted his progress, leaving both the player and the club eager for his return.
Paul O’Keefe, a reliable source for Tottenham updates, recently shared news on Odobert’s recovery through his X account, stating that the young winger faces an extended period on the sidelines.
According to O’Keefe, Odobert could be out of action for another six weeks as the club carefully manages his rehabilitation process.
While the injury is considered serious, there is hope that Odobert may return to full training after the upcoming international break, depending on his progress in the coming weeks.
Despite this setback, Odobert has already shown flashes of his ability, with his speed and direct attacking style posing a significant threat to opposition defenses.
His return to full fitness will be a welcome boost for manager Ange Postecoglou, providing him with another dynamic option in the wide areas as Tottenham aims to compete on both domestic and European stages this season.
Tottenham fans are eagerly awaiting Odobert’s return, optimistic that the young Frenchman will make a substantial impact once he’s back in the fold.
His performances before the injury gave a glimpse of what he can bring to the squad, and with patience and careful management, he could yet play a crucial role in Spurs’ campaign once fully fit and available for selection.
