Tottenham keen on French attacking prodigy, ready for improve deal

Tottenham are finding it difficult to negotiate a deal for Stade Rennais’ attacking sensation Desire Doue.

While the new Premier League season starts in around three weeks, Tottenham still have a lot of work to do in terms of transfers. Ange Postecoglou is keen on adding more firepower to his attack, he wants more quality on the flanks and Stade Rennais’ Desire Doue is one of the names on their wishlist.

The Tottenham recruitment team are considering making a move for the 19-year-old who prefers playing out wide on the left and can even feature on the opposite flank or as a number ten. According to a report from GIVEMESPORT, Spurs feel it will be difficult to strike a deal for Doue amidst significant interest in his services from across Europe.

With Dejan Kulusevski’s future uncertain, Spurs want to bring in a top-quality winger to ensure they have enough in their tanks to push for a top-four spot. While they do prefer a proven Premier League star and have their eyes on Eberechi Eze and Pedro Neto, the North London club are also considering signing Doue.

They were hoping a roadmap to Spurs’ first-team would help convince the teenager about the move but it seems a deal has proving to be quite difficult so far. It will be interesting to see if the North London club can get the deal done eventually.
