Attacker ‘close to Tottenham’, deal expected to be done for €30-35 million
According to a report from CalcioNapoli24, the 26-year-old Italian international is set to leave Juventus this summer and he could join Tottenham for a fee of around €30-€35 million.
Roma and Napoli have been linked with the player as well, but Chiesa is set to leave Italian football this summer.
The report states that the 26-year-old is ‘close to Tottenham’ and it remains to be seen whether the North London club can get the deal done.
They could certainly use more quality and depth in the attacking unit and Chiesa should prove to be a superb acquisition. He has proven his quality in the Italian league and he has the technical and physical attributes to thrive in the Premier League as well.
Players like Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski have not been at their best in recent months and Spurs need more quality and cutting edge in the final third.
The 26-year-old will add creativity, goals and pace to their attack.
Chiesa has managed to get over his injury problems and he will look to make his mark in English football if the move goes through. Tottenham have an ambitious project and a talented squad. They have appointed a charismatic manager in Ange Postecoglou as well.
