Any potential suitor for Summerville knows they’ll have to find a significant transfer fee, with suggestions Leeds will use the £40 they received for Gray as the new benchmark needed to prize Summerville away from the club.

With that in mind, Aston Villa will have to consider whether they are in a position to pay that sort of money, with new reports suggesting the Villains are showing a real interest in Summerville.

Football Insider report Villa are considering a swoop for the Dutchman, who picked up the Championship player of the year award recently. Villa have already splashed the cash this summer on the likes of Ian Maatsen, Lewis Dobbin and Ross Barkley as they prepare for a campaign which brings Champions League football.
