Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are on the brink of signing former Tottenham Hotspur academy star Han Willhoft-King, according to FootballInsider.
The 18-year-old left Spurs this summer despite Ange Postecoglou’s attempts to keep him at the club, but it has now emerged that he’s one step away from completing a move to the Etihad. The report on footballinsider further adds that King will sign a two-year deal with the Premier League champions once he completes his medical.

King is a versatile midfielder capable of playing defensively or further up the pitch, providing more options to Pep Guardiola if he breaks into the first team. He has made 35 appearances in the Under-18 Premier League for Tottenham, scoring four goals in those games. Tottenham have just signed Archie Gray, who is the same age as King, which may be the reason he decided to move elsewhere in search of a breakthrough.
Manchester City have been very quiet in the transfer market, with the most high-profile topic being the future of midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, who admitted earlier that he was open to anything, including a move to Saudi Arabia.

Long-serving Eric Dier has also left the club, while Timo Werner has earned another 12 months to prove himself, which could lead to a permanent move.
