‘One of the top 10 players in Europe’ is on the verge of joining Tottenham Hotspur this summer

The 23-year-old Feyenoord striker had an impressive season, scoring 26 goals and providing eight assists in 42 appearances for the Dutch club. His performances have caught the eye of several top European clubs, including Liverpool.
The report highlights that Feyenoord has received offers from both Tottenham and La Liga giants Atletico Madrid. However, Atletico’s bid is reportedly lower than Tottenham’s.
Feyenoord has requested Atletico to match Tottenham’s bid, but they seem hesitant to increase their offer.
While the exact amount of Tottenham’s bid hasn’t been disclosed, it is likely close to Feyenoord’s £42 million asking price.
Assuming there are no last-minute changes from Atletico, the remaining hurdle is agreeing on personal terms with Gimenez, which shouldn’t be a problem.
Gimenez, who is currently representing Mexico at the Copa America, has been described as one of the top 10 players in Europe. Despite his participation in the tournament, negotiations are expected to proceed smoothly as he is keen to join Tottenham.
