New Tottenham appointment imminent to help solve key Postecoglou issue
Tottenham is going to hire Jack Chapman, who is currently the head of recruiting for Southampton’s youth teams, for a similar job.
This summer, Chapman will start working at Spurs. He joined Southampton from Swansea in August of last year in a similar role.
Spurs’ head coach, Ange Postecoglou, said the team has “a lot of work to do in our academy” and wants things to change.
In February, Postecoglou said, “I don’t think we have the production line that other top clubs have.”
“That’s why we’re putting money into some younger players right now, even for the first team.” For our sports club, that’s the only way to go forward.
Spurs, on the other hand, are moving forward with their summer rebuilding plans and are talking to Tanguy Ndombele about ending the last year of his deal.
Since he signed for Spurs for £60 million in the summer of 2019, Ndombele has been loaned to Lyon, Napoli, and most recently Galatasaray in Turkey.
Giovani Lo Celso, who joined Spurs for £55 million in the same summer as Ndombele and has a year left on his deal, will also be looked at.
Real Betis of Spain is interested in the Argentine player.
