24 y/o “game-changer” interested in joining Tottenham, belief they can strike £40m deal
A Premier League player is reported to be interested in joining Tottenham this summer, and Spurs believe they can close a £40 million deal.

The north Londoners, led by chairman Daniel Levy, are ready to back manager Ange Postecoglou in the summer window, with at least three more crucial additions planned in a variety of positions.
They’ve already signed a season-long extension for Timo Werner’s loan, which was set to expire this month. That deal contained a £15 million option to acquire the German from RB Leipzig, but Levy was able to restructure in Tottenham’s benefit.
Werner will continue on loan for the 2024/2025 season, with the revised agreement including a fresh option to buy the 28-year-old for about £8.5 million next summer. According to speculations, the striker will not be Tottenham’s sole offensive addition this summer.
Following Werner and maybe another wide attacker, Tottenham is expected to sign a new centre-back, striker, and midfielder. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been widely linked with a move away from Tottenham this summer, to the point where the club is apparently looking for a replacement midfielder.
Postecoglou is believed to be a big fan of Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, and Spurs have been linked with a move for the 24-year-old since last year. Gallagher’s contract expires in 2025, therefore Chelsea may be obliged to sell him this summer.
This has alarmed the Lilywhites, Atletico Madrid, and Premier League rivals Aston Villa, according to TEAMtalk.
Gallagher is interested in Tottenham, who are looking for a £40 million deal.
While the midfielder’s ultimate goal is to stay at Stamford Bridge, this seems more unlikely. Gallagher is interested in a transfer to Tottenham, and the club believes he could be signed for roughly £40 million.
This is £10 million less than Chelsea’s asking price for him, but Gallagher’s contract expires next year, and interested parties feel Enzo Maresca’s squad will have to make a compromise.
