Tottenham have now opened talks with super agent over signing £35m Brazil attacker

Tottenham have spoken with super agent Kia Joorabchian about a prospective deal for one of his clients, a Brazilian international striker.

Spurs are poised to make additional forward additions following Werner

Spurs quickly completed their first summer deal, agreeing to loan Timo Werner from RB Leipzig for another season.

The Lilywhites were only supposed to have him on a temporary contract from January until the end of 23/24, with a £15 million option to acquire the German altogether.

However, chairman Daniel Levy renegotiated the option down to £8.5 million, which Spurs may chose to activate next summer after extending his loan for another season.

Ange Postecoglou has retained a suitable player who scored two goals and assisted three times for Spurs in the second half of last season for no cost, excluding Werner’s rumoured £165,000-per-week salaries.

Despite the 28-year-old’s decision to stay in north London for the foreseeable future, Spurs are still looking for additional offensive additions.

Tottenham are looking for an outright striker to replace Harry Kane and have been connected with Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri this week in particular. Meanwhile, it is believed that Spurs may sign another winger following Werner.

Tottenham is targeting Rennes prodigy Desire Doue as one possibility, but there are many more players who may be suited. Andreas Pereira, Fulham’s winger, shone under Marco Silva last season, scoring three goals and providing seven assists in the Premier League.

The top three clubs have all shown an interest in acquiring the Brazil international striker, who cost them between £30-£35 million to lure away from Craven Cottage. Pereira staying in west London is considered doubtful, although Villa may have an edge owing to the player’s desire to participate in the Champions League.

“I believe he’s doing really well at Fulham; he’s a fantastic talent. “Everyone knows how good he is,” said former Manchester United colleague and fellow Brazilian Fred in late 2022.

“We played together here for some time, he was at Flamengo in Brazil where he did well, I was following him there.”

“Now he’s back with Fulham and enjoying a successful Premier League season. Great player; we know his talent, but we must play our game. We know their players’ qualities, but we must play our game and win.”
