Tottenham player ‘wants certainty about starting place’ or could agitate for exit this summer
Radu Dragusin, a Tottenham defender, ‘wants assurance regarding a starting berth’ at the club going ahead and may want to leave this summer.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, if the defender seeks to leave Tottenham, he may find himself again in the sights of Napoli.
Dragusin joined Tottenham in the January transfer window, but has failed to establish himself under Ange Postecoglou.
His agent has been outspoken about the issue for some time, implying that he and the player may seek to leave Tottenham this summer if nothing changes.
Gazzetta said today that the player ‘wants clarity regarding a starting berth’ at the club, otherwise he may seek a transfer abroad.
That’s where Napoli would come in, since they were interested in him before he arrived to London and would be willing to sign him now if he decides to leave Spurs.
They’re planning a large summer of investment as they try to recruit Antonio Conte, who always wants support and will likely reorganize the team, particularly with Victor Osimhen anticipated to go.
The notion is that he need at least two defenders, and Dragusin, who is also comfortable playing in a back three, would be an ideal candidate.
It all hinges on whether he wants to leave Tottenham, which is a real possibility if he and his agency don’t get their way.
