“I’m told” – Journalist says Tottenham more likely to sign £60m ace ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea

With Spurs supposedly guiding their London rivals to recruit a player with “enormous potential,” Tottenham Hotspur has been handed an apparent transfer boost.

Ange Postecoglou wants more attackers signed

For Ange Postecoglou and Spurs, it might possibly be yet another hectic summer in the transfer market. Speaking after the 2023/24 season ended, the Australian underlined the importance of bringing fresh attackers.

Sure, definitely. It is not secret. You observed our season’s finishing style. Richy and Timo were clearly gone as well with injuries, although we are somewhat short in that area.

Starting last season with Manor [Solomon] and [Ivan], we were really healthy in terms of numbers, but as the year progressed it became rather clear that we needed to beef up. We will have more games because we are in Europe next year and that is very obviously an area of the park we will need to improve.

Tottenham already has a contract in place to prolong Timo Werner’s loan from RB Leipzig until the end of next season; more acquisitions also seem imminent.

While Evanlison from FC Porto has been discussed as a potential replacement for Richarlison, Genoa star Albert Gudmundsson has been connected often. Shakhtar Donetsk offensive midfielder Georgiy Sudakov has also been a target, and a good update has just surfaced in what will help Postecoglou.

Tottenham gave Georgiy Sudakov transfer boost

Shakhtar Donetsk officials even visited London last month to discuss Sudakov’s future amid interest from the three clubs; journalist Ben Jacobs, reported by The Boot Room, said Spurs have the most concrete interest in Sudakov ahead of both Arsenal and Chelsea, who have also been mooted as possible destinations in the media.

“Georgiy Sudakov might be one of the players London teams particularly target. Right now, I find that Spurs are the team with actual interest.

Chelsea speculations mostly originate from Mudryk; Arsenal isn’t considered to participate in this discussion right now.

Heorhiy Sudakov for Ukraine.
Shakhtar apparently values Sudakov, 21, at £60 million. Turning out around 100 times at senior level for the Ukrainian giants, he really doesn’t have a weak foot and seems to be a star in the making.

Fernando Valente, a former young coach to Sudakov, has praised him in the past: “Sudakov was the most gifted player I ever taught.

Young youngster Sudakov has great potential; he may even be playing for Manchester City or Barcelona. We get along well and he was the finest player I coached.

Strangely, Bournemouth defender Ilya Zabarnyi claims Sudakov uses a PR business to promote him in an attempt to gain him a transfer to Europe. Thus, a summer transfer to Spurs may be one to keep an eye on or maybe just a bunch of white noise.
