Doctor suggests Tottenham need to do in-depth medical if they seal risky £55m+ attacker signing
Dr. Rajpal Brar warns Tottenham of the dangers ahead of maybe signing RB Leipzig forward Dani Olmo this summer.
The medical specialist says the Spain left winger’s October shoulder damage was a major one with a likelihood of recurrence.
German news source Bild said on May 9 that Spurs are among many teams fighting to recruit the 26-year-old this summer whose release clause is £55.8million.
Talking about the condition of play with Olmo only for Tottenham News, sports scientist and physical therapist Dr Brar said:
“Olmo had a major injury in October which kept him out for the rest of the year,” stated Dr Brar.
It was an acromioclavicular (AC) joint separation—that is, a separated shoulder.
“The issue with them is that recurrence is more likely and, should it occur, surgery may be required.
Spurs, or any team signing him this summer, should therefore exercise caution because, should things grow worse, he may be ruled out for months.
