Spurs open to Richarlison deal as 13 first-team players could be sold

Despite the striker’s vow he would not leave England, Tottenham will take offers for Richarlison this summer into account.

Richarlison said he has never expressed unhappiness at Spurs and rejected advice he is in negotiations with rival clubs as “fake news”.

He continues among the players. Though head coach Ange Postecoglou intends a significant clearout, Spurs are ready to sell for the right price.

More than one of Saudi Arabia’s state-owned teams, who would be able to match the £60million Spurs paid Everton for the striker two years ago, the 27-year-old has drawn attention from.

Spurs are also ready to release Emerson Royal, a compatriot who has drawn attention from Saudi Arabia and AC Milan.

This week, Emerson’s representative visited Milan authorities; yet the defender was not the only player under discussion.

According to Postecoglou, “change has to happen” this summer if Spurs are to advance; numerous veteran players will be allowed to go.

While returning loanees Joe Rodon, Djed Spence, Sergio Reguilon, Tanguy Ndombele and Japhet Tanganga are not part of Postecoglou’s plans, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso, who have both reached the last year of their contracts, are poised to move on along with Bryan Gil.

While Ryan Sessegnon is poised to depart Spurs on a free transfer after another injury-hit season, the club would also listen to appropriate bids for squad players such as Manor Solomon.

Postecoglou wants to retain Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur, hence it would probably need a large offer to persuade Spurs to release either of the midfield combination.

Lucas Bergvall, who will come in pre-season after a contract signed for the Swedish youngster in January, and Timo Werner, whose loan arrangement has been extended for a second season, have already improved the team.
