Tottenham could be lining up the biggest bargain signing of the summer already

The summer transfer window is about to open, and Tottenham have plenty of work to do.

Spurs’ recent form has showcased just how much business Tottenham need to do this summer, and it sounds as though they’re wasting no time in getting started.

Indeed, according to GiveMeSport, Tottenham are already lining up a move for Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy, a move which could be the bargain of the summer.

Serhou Guirassy could be bargain of the summer

Tottenham are eyeing a move for Guirassy this summer, and, remarkably, due to a release clause, he would cost just £15m.

£15m for any striker playing in a top European league is great value these days, but £15m for a striker who has scored 26 league goals this season is an absolute steal.

To put that into some context, that’s more goals than anyone in the Premier League not named Erling Haaland has managed this season.

Guirassy is one of Europe’s top marksmen, and it’s very rare that you’ll find a goalscorer of this calibre moving for this sort of fee.

Indeed, usually, goalscorers cost an absolute fortune, just look at some of the astronomical fees that have been spent in recent years on the likes of Goncalo Ramos, Rasmus Hojlund and even Darwin Nunez, and none of those players have been as prolific as Guirassy this year.

Guirassy should be worth so much more

The fact that Guirassy is available for £15m is almost laughable.

In reality, this is a player who should be sold for at least three times that amount, and even then his value is probably being sold short.

Yes, Guirassy is on the older side at the age of 28, but even strikers of that age who are scoring goals can move for an absolute fortune.

Perhaps the best comparison in terms of value is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. He got a move to Arsenal at the age of 28 after putting up very similar numbers in the Bundesliga for Borussia Dortmund, and he cost £56m, and that was six years ago now.

Guirassy should, arguably, cost upwards of £60m off the back of this incredible season, but Tottenham have a chance to get him for a fraction of the price this summer.

The Guinean striker could be the bargain of the window for whoever signs him, and Spurs need to make sure they’re one of the teams at the very front of this queue.
