Exclusive: Fabrizio Romano on Postecoglou’s future and “change” coming at Tottenham

Fabrizio Romano says Ange Postecoglou is not unhappy as manager of Tottenham. He played down any rumours that his job might be in danger after what he said after the loss to Manchester City.

The Australian manager took over at Spurs last summer and got the team off to a great start in north London.

However, the second part of the season has been less successful, and the club will not be playing in the Champions League next season.

Romano told CaughtOffside exclusively for his latest Daily Briefing column that Postecoglou is having some problems at Tottenham right now.

The former Celtic manager wants to change the way the club thinks, and this summer is likely to be a busy one for transfers.

Spurs’ first season under Ange Postecoglou has been a mixed bag.

After the loss to Man City, Postecoglou seemed to criticise the club’s roots. However, Romano has said that only Postecoglou knows what he meant by that, and there are no signs that he’s unhappy in his job or wants to leave right now.

A lot of people asked about Spurs and how they would affect the title race before the game. Some fans didn’t want them to help Arsenal, who are their enemies, Romano wrote.

You could see Postecoglou arguing with a fan in the boxes. He didn’t sound happy when he talked about the club’s weak roots after the game.

He was the only one who really knows what he meant by that. He is not unhappy at Tottenham; he just wants to change the way people think.
