“Should be the club’s first priority” – Spurs now told to replace Bissouma with 90m star

Spurs would have to pay a lot of money for that guy.

Tottenham has been told to get rid of one of their current players and bring in a star from another Premier League team to replace him.

What do Spurs need to work on?

Tottenham’s 2023–24 season has been up and down. To no one’s surprise, they haven’t won any trophies yet this season, and their performances in the Premier League have been, to say the least, patchy.

When Ange Postecoglou took over as manager for the first time after Harry Kane left for Bayern Munich last summer, things were not easy. But even though Kane left, Tottenham has still been one of the best scoring teams in the league. Where they’ve had trouble is on defence, where they’ve only kept six clean sheets so far this league season.

A lot of people have different ideas about what Tottenham should do to get better during the next trade window. Tosin Adarabioyo, a defender for Fulham, has recently been linked with a move to north London. The center-back would definitely help Spurs’ defence a lot.

Spurs are also interested in Lloyd Kelly, a star player for Bournemouth. Outside of England, Riccardo Calafiori, a star player for Bologna, has been talked about a lot lately. Tottenham wants to change more than just their defence, though. This week it was said that Spurs are ready to sell Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and are interested in Everton’s Amadou Onana.

Spurs have been told to build a team around a £90 million star

But it looks like at least some Tottenham fans would rather see a different name being pursued in the summer. Because Yves Bissouma is leaving Tottenham, John Wenham, the owner of the well-known Spurs show Lilywhite Rose, wants them to sign Joao Palhinha instead.

Wenham told Tottenham News that he thinks the north Londoners should get a new No. 6, and he has picked Fulham’s Joao Palhinha as his top choice:

He said, “I believe Tottenham should get in touch with Fulham to discover how much it would cost to bring Palhinha to North London.” “Ange Postecoglou should build his team around this player.”

“Yves Bissouma needs to get better, and I’d like Spurs to get rid of him and bring in Palhinha.”That should be the club’s main goal this summer.

If Tottenham does decide to sign the Portuguese player, he will likely cost them a lot of money. Fulham had asked for an unbelievable £90 million for their midfield general.

Regarding Bissouma’s possible sale, the 27-year-old has been an important part of Ange Postecoglou’s middle this season, playing in 26 Premier League games. However, he has missed five games because he was suspended for making too many tackles too quickly.

Transfermarkt.com also puts his value at around £30m, which means Tottenham would need to find around £60m in their transfer budget to buy Palhinha if they can find a good price to sell. Since Spurs will probably miss out on the Champions League season, the Lilywhites may not be able to afford it.

  1. I agree with everything you’ve said in your post; it’s clear that they’re all very persuasive and will work. Nevertheless, the posts are too short for newcomers; could you maybe make them a little longer the next time? I’m grateful for the post.
