Tottenham could let 13 players go now to start summer transfer window overhaul

Take a look at these 13 players who could be leaving Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer as part of Johan Lange and Ange Postecoglou’s plans to change the team.

Tottenham will be making a lot of important moves this summer as they try to get to the next level under Ange Postecoglou. When the Australian player arrived at the football club in June of last year, he made a big impact. The Lilywhites are now in a great situation to return to the Champions League after a year away.

Some smart purchases made in the transfer market have helped Tottenham throughout the season. Guglielmo Vicario, Micky van de Ven, and James Maddison have all done well for Tottenham. Timo Werner, who joined on loan from RB Leipzig in January, has also done well since then.

Before the 2024–25 Premier League season, all eyes will be on the players who sign with Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. However, the players who leave will also have a big impact on Postecoglou’s team. Oliver Skipp

Skipp might be in the news this summer about a move because Postecoglou hasn’t given him much playing time this season. The player has not been picked for four of Tottenham’s last five Premier League games because the head coach has other middle choices.

What Tottenham should keep in mind about Skipp this summer is how important it is for the club to keep its own players.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Hojbjerg is one player who looks like he will be leaving before the next season starts. The Dane used to play a big role for Tottenham but now only plays small parts, which is not what the player wants.

Hojbjerg needs to start games again, and he probably needs to leave Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to do that. If he leaves, we will miss his knowledge and experience a lot.

Bryan Gil

Gil needs a stable move for his future because he hasn’t played much for Tottenham this season. The Spaniard has made a few appearances, but it’s not enough for him right now, when he’s at a very important point in his growth.

We’re sorry that things didn’t work out for Gil in N17, but Tottenham should still have a lot of offers for a player like him.

Emerson Royals

Emerson was wanted by Saudi Arabian team Al-Nassr at the beginning of the year, but their deal failed. It will be interesting to see what happens with him in the summer. The Saudis might be interested again in the right back in the summer, which means Tottenham will have to make a decision about the player.

Tottenham needs to find a candidate for Pedro Porro because they don’t have a player that is a perfect fit for his position in the team. This could allow Emerson to move on to other opportunities.

Giovanni Lo Celso

Tottenham will have to make a decision about Lo Celso in the summer, since his deal with Spurs is coming to an end. The club might be better off selling the Argentina international forever since James Maddison is going to fill his spot and play less of a part for the Lilywhites.

Tottenham could still get a good price for the player even though he is still under contract, and many teams should want to sign him.

Ryan Sessegnon

The 2023–24 season will end with Sessegnon having only played once because he was hurt so many times. It was claimed by football.london last month that the 23-year-old only has one year left on his deal if the club exercises the last 12-month option.

Since Sessegnon wants to get his job back on track, it might be best for them to go their separate ways.

Tanguy Ndombele

Tottenham needs to find a way to get rid of Ndombele for good this summer. The playmaker will soon be in the last year of his deal in north London, just like Lo Celso.

What’s wrong for Tottenham, though, is that the 27-year-old has had another terrible loan spell with Galatasaray. This is on top of the awful loans he had with his old team Lyon and Napoli.

Sergio Reguilon

Finally, Reguilon is getting regular time in the tank with Brentford across the city. The Spaniard started the season on loan at Manchester United. In the middle of January, his time at Old Trafford came to an early end, and he moved to west London.

Djed Spence

Spence has a big summer ahead of him because his move to Tottenham in 2022 didn’t work out at all. This season, the right wing-back plays in Serie A for Genoa. He has been in and out of the Italian team, starting five games and coming on as a replacement four times.

If he does finish the season well with Genoa, it might make other teams want to sign him, which could help Spurs at least get back the money they paid Middlesbrough for the 23-year-old.

Japhet Tanganga

Again, Tanganga has had terrible luck with injuries, and his loan move to Augsburg was cancelled early because he didn’t make a single start for the German team. He is now playing out the loan deal on loan in the Championship with Millwall.

At this point, the agile defender has played 14 times for the Lions, starting 13 of those games. He has also scored his first goals for the south-east London club. Tanganga needs to find a new club this summer for the sake of his future. He is another Tottenham player whose deal is coming to an end soon.

Joe Rodon

Rodon had a great season on loan with Leeds United, so Tottenham shouldn’t have any trouble getting rid of him in the summer. There will definitely be a lot of sides interested in signing the Wales international after how well he has played in the middle of Daniel Farke’s Leeds defence.

Because Leeds wants to sign the player forever, it might be easier to make the deal happen if the West Yorkshire club gets back to the Premier League right away.

Troy Parrott

Parrott is another player who has had a great season while on loan. The Republic of Ireland player has recently played for MK Dons and Preston North End. He is now making a name for himself with Excelsior Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

In 24 games this season, he has scored seven goals and set up three others. His play has caught the attention of Ajax and PSV, two of the biggest teams in the Netherlands. If Tottenham wants to, they shouldn’t have any trouble moving on with the player for good.

Either Brandon Austin or Alfie Whiteman
During the summer, one of Austin or Whiteman could also leave Tottenham for good. Due to Fraser Forster’s injury, Austin has been second fiddle to Vicario lately, but the 25-year-old’s deal ends this summer.
