Jamie Redknapp makes a Spurs prediction that Arsenal fans will hate
Spurs will determine the Premier League winners this season, according to Jamie Redknapp, who concedes he doesn’t see Arsenal coming out on top in the North London Derby.
With only one point separating Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal in the championship race, it’s too early to tell who will win.
Even though they have already been to Anfield and hosted Arsenal and City at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Lilywhites still have to play all three of those teams.
Before Aston Villa, Tottenham will be concentrating on their own goal of finishing in fourth place and qualifying for the Champions League.
If what Ange Postecoglou just said is true, though, he is more concerned with seeing indications that his team is improving than with finishing in fourth place (Football.London).
The fate of the Premier League trophy will be decided by Tottenham.
Redknapp thinks Tottenham will make life tough for the teams above them in the league, therefore he’s supporting them to pick up a point against Arsenal if they lose. If his team can beat those three teams, it will demonstrate development.
The commentator informed Sky Sports (via Football.London): “We’ve seen what it is like today and Spurs are a lot better team than Manchester United, how difficult they’re going to make it for Arsenal.”
Spurs will decide who gets the Premier League trophy, no matter how much Postecoglou swears he doesn’t want to be engaged in the championship fight.
Each of the top three teams must be played by them. I have no idea if Arsenal can win on the road, but I really doubt they can defeat them. Because of how hard it is to play there, they will lose points there. It will be thrilling, there will be a huge crowd, and they play excellent football.
“If you take a look at May 5th, they have to travel to Liverpool. Spurs are a good team that can score on the counter. Then there’s Manchester City, which may be scheduled for the last week of the season. I guess we’ll find out later. They’re feeling confident and in top shape for these crucial games.
In Our Views
At home, we can easily defeat Arsenal and Manchester City, but I don’t think we’ll get much out of our trip to Anfield.
The other teams will be considerably more anxious than we are going into those games, and the Tottenham players will jump at the chance to perform at their best in front of such a large audience.
