Tottenham willing to cash in on player with 7 goals and 3 assists this season
Tottenham Hotspur is poised to part ways with academy graduate Troy Parrott at the conclusion of the season, as they prepare for a summer overhaul.
Amidst plans for new arrivals, Tottenham is also aiming to trim their squad and generate funds.
According to a report from Football Insider, Parrott, who has impressed during his loan spell at Dutch outfit Excelsior, is among the players earmarked for departure.
Although Parrott made his debut for Spurs in 2019, he struggled to secure a regular spot in the team and has been sent out on loan multiple times.
Despite being promoted to the first team this season, he was subsequently loaned out to Excelsior.
During his time in the Netherlands, Parrott initially faced challenges but eventually established himself as the club’s primary striker.
In 21 league appearances, the 22-year-old netted seven goals and provided three assists before sustaining a hamstring injury in March.
With Parrott set to return to Tottenham in the summer, the club has deemed him surplus to requirements moving forward.
They are actively seeking a world-class forward and are willing to part ways with Parrott if a suitable offer materializes.
Given that Parrott’s contract runs until 2025, Spurs see the upcoming transfer window as an opportune moment to secure a significant transfer fee for his departure. Clubs from Germany have been cited as potential suitors for Parrott’s services.
