Lilywhite Rose backs Tottenham to sign left-footed centre back with no contract incentive
According to John Wenham, Tottenham Hotspur might prioritize a move for Bournemouth centre-back Lloyd Kelly over Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham in the upcoming summer transfer window.
While there’s reported interest in Adarabioyo, Wenham doesn’t consider him a top priority for Spurs, citing his right-footed profile and the presence of other options like Radu Dragusin and Cristian Romero.
In an exclusive conversation with Tottenham News, Wenham, founder of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, expressed his belief that signing a left-footed centre-back like Kelly would make more sense for the club.
Kelly, who is also approaching the end of his contract, presents an enticing option for Spurs, given his availability and the lack of incentive for him to renew with Bournemouth at the moment.
With Ange Postecoglou emphasizing the need for a new defender, Spurs could revisit their interest in Kelly, especially with Bournemouth’s inability to secure his long-term commitment.
Securing Kelly’s services could provide Spurs with the defensive reinforcement they seek and offer valuable depth behind key players like Micky van de Ven.
