Tottenham predicted lineup vs. West Ham: 2 major changes made as £90M duo return to starting XI

Ahead of Sunday’s clash with Premier League rivals West Ham, here’s the latest Tottenham team news, injury updates, and predicted XI.

Tottenham Hotspur will be aiming to maintain their pursuit of the top four with a victory over West Ham midweek.

Spurs clinched a narrow win against relegation-threatened Luton Town on Saturday, bouncing back from an early setback to secure a late victory with an own goal from Issa Kabore and an 86th-minute strike from Son Heung-min.

The result places Spurs fifth in the table, with a game in hand over fourth-placed Aston Villa. A win against West Ham could potentially draw them level on points with Villa, who face Manchester City on Wednesday.

On the injury front, Tottenham appears to have relatively few concerns. Fraser Forster remains sidelined with a fractured foot, while Ryan Sessegnon is unlikely to feature again this season following hamstring surgery. Manor Solomon is expected to return later this month after undergoing knee surgery.

Micky van de Ven’s return to the bench offers hope for Spurs, possibly providing defensive reinforcement, while Brennan Johnson may replace Timo Werner in the lineup.

Tottenham XI: Guglielmo Vicario; Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Destiny Udogie; Yves Bissouma, Pape Matar Sarr; Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Brennan Johnson; Son Heung-min.

West Ham also has a relatively clean bill of health, with Edson Alvarez serving a one-game suspension due to accumulated yellow cards.

Goalkeeper Alphonse Areola is being assessed after sustaining an abductor strain during the defeat to Newcastle United. Defender Nayef Aguerd, who missed the recent match, is expected to be available for selection after recovering from injury.

West Ham’s predicted XI for the match may include Lukasz Fabianski in goal, with Vladimír Coufal, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Kurt Zouma, and Emerson Palmieri in defense.

The midfield could feature Tomas Soucek and James Ward-Prowse, with Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta, and Mohammed Kudus supporting Michail Antonio up front.
