No mystery as Tottenham free transfer target has weakness for PL

The rumor that Tottenham would try to sign Adrien Rabiot in the next months has picked up some steam in Italy during the last few weeks.

The French midfielder is theoretically free to negotiate his future with any club for an easy transfer as long as he stays under Juventus’ contract until the conclusion of the current season.

Tottenham is said to be interested in that, and Gazzetta dello Sport on Thursday provides further details about the player’s circumstances.

Although Spurs aren’t named specifically, previous rumors have indicated that they are interested, and the Italian publication mentions the possibility of the World Cup champion moving to England’s top division.

They remember that Rabiot’s “weakness for the Premier League” is “no mystery” and that this year may be his “only opportunity” to get a “important contract” in the United States.

Tottenham has reportedly said that they are able to provide him with this, which may make a transfer to the revitalized Spurs alluring for the 28-year-old.
