Spurs player set to miss the rest of the season with injury in devastating blow
Ryan Sessegnon, a defender for Tottenham, has had an incredibly bad season due to injuries.
During preseason training in the summer, he had a hamstring injury that required surgery, keeping him out until January.
After making a comeback for the FA Cup match against Burnley, he played the last ten minutes before suffering a knock that sidelined him for many more weeks.
When he made a comeback in the U21s’ match against West Ham last month, he played only 37 minutes before suffering a further hamstring strain.
The 23-year-old had a successful operation, the team revealed, although he will miss three months of play.
Furthermore, the most recent defeat is a “devastating” blow to his career, according to Football Insider.
According to the report, the team does not anticipate having him return until the 2024–2025 preseason, therefore he will miss the remainder of the season.
His Tottenham career has also come under scrutiny; according to some rumours, the team may decide to let him go in light of his injury issues and recruit a qualified replacement for Destiny Udogie.
