Tottenham now ready to step up contract talks with £22M player, he loves working with Postecoglou
Now, Tottenham Hotspur is getting ready to resume contract negotiations with Son Heung-min, the team captain.
After another successful season for the South Korean international, HITC Football has learned that Spurs are prepared to go ahead with negotiations with the £22 million striker.
The 31-year-old’s contract ends at the end of 2025, but as far as HITC is aware, negotiations for a new agreement have been going on since last summer.
Son Heung-min and manager Ange Postecoglou have a budding connection at Tottenham, and HITC Football has been informed that Son is enjoying life under the Australian, which is a major reason why he wants to remain longer.
Now, one of Tottenham’s top priorities for this summer is to keep the striker at the team.
Spurs prepared to go forward with Son’s contract negotiations
Ever since he joined Tottenham in 2015 after leaving Bayer Leverkusen, the “unbelievable” attacker has been a vital member of the team.
He is very close to making 300 Premier League appearances for the team, and he should do it before the season is up.
Son and Harry Kane enjoyed a record-breaking combination for years, with the two scoring 47 goals each in the league.
Son hasn’t stopped moving, even if England’s all-time leading scorer may have gone on.
With 11 games remaining in the season, he has already surpassed his goal total and registered the same amount of assists in the league.
Given Son’s significance to the team, it is not surprising that Tottenham wants to go forward with contract negotiations with him.
In addition to James Maddison and Cristian Romero, he is a vital member of Ange Postecoglou’s team.
Tottenham is still striving for Champions League play
HITC Football is aware that the Saudi Pro League is pursuing many Premier League players, including Son, and that Tottenham is not shocked by this development.
Son is eager to prolong his time at Tottenham by signing a new deal, however, because of his friendship with Postecoglou.
