3 players could leave Tottenham this month, star to be freed once new signing sealed

Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly open to the prospect of selling Eric Dier this month, while also anticipating the departures of Sergio Reguilon and Djed Spence from the Premier League club, as revealed by HITC Football.

None of the trio have factored into Ange Postecoglou’s plans for the ongoing season. Although Sergio Reguilon and Djed Spence were loaned out, their spells were abruptly cut short by Manchester United and Leeds respectively this week, failing to demonstrate reasons for a fresh start at Tottenham.

In the case of Eric Dier, the defender has only made four league appearances under the former Celtic manager. Postecoglou’s recent choices, opting for full-backs Ben Davies and Emerson Royal in the center, have further marginalized Dier, who finds himself frequently benched.

With the experienced English international’s contract set to expire in the summer, Spurs are aiming to secure any potential profit on a player they acquired in a £4 million deal from Sporting Lisbon back in 2014.

Sources from HITC Football suggest that Tottenham is inclined to part ways with Dier, especially once Radu Dragusin completes his anticipated move in a potential £30 million deal from Genoa. The club is reportedly ‘optimistic’ about Dragusin’s imminent arrival within the next few days.

Eric Dier has the liberty to engage in discussions with several foreign-based suitors. Bayern Munich, showing interest in Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah as well, is among the potential suitors. Dier has garnered attention from France, Italy, Spain, and there’s even a possibility of a return to Portugal.

Aggregate costs for the trio’s acquisitions sum up to £52 million for Tottenham. Additionally, Tottenham foresees the departures of both Reguilon and Spence before February.

Reguilon, having arrived in a £28 million deal from Real Madrid, is reportedly most likely to return to La Liga, considering his previous stints at Atletico and Sevilla along with Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Djed Spence is anticipated to head back to the Championship. Despite a challenging stint at Leeds, Spence continues to attract interest due to his impressive performances during his tenure under Steve Cooper at Nottingham Forest.
