Over the last several years, Spurs supporters have discovered how difficult it is to keep Cristian Romero out of the news, for both good and negative reasons.

But when he’s on top of his game, there aren’t many better defenders in the Premier League, if not the whole globe. He was, of course, a member of the Argentina team that won the World Cup the previous year.

Romero and James Maddison currently share the role of co-vice captain for Tottenham. Ange Postecoglou will thus undoubtedly want to hold onto him for as long as feasible.

Romero doesn’t seem interested in relocating anywhere, which is excellent news.

“Throughout my career, I’ve had the good fortune to live in a few different cities, but nothing compares to London,” he said to SWM. It’s a city with an amazing history and the capital of the globe, in my view. I adore this place’s history, people, and variety.

The Spurs defender has resumed his old routines.

Regarding Romero, the last several weeks have been unexpected. He was great in the team’s first season. However, despite signing a permanent contract, he struggled throughout the season along with a number of other players.

But at the start of this season, Romero began to forge an incredible relationship with Micky van de Ven, just as he was being written off.
