22yr old Tottenham player is going to gym before and after training sessions to get even fitter

Radu Dragusin, a defender for Tottenham Hotspur, is apparently working harder behind the scenes at Hotspur Way.

Radu Dragusin moved to north London in January and has since had to wait patiently for his chance on Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Spurs outbid Bayern Munich to acquire the former Genoa player, securing his services for a sum of £25 million.

At the time, Tottenham was severely lacking in defense reinforcements due to the injuries to Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.

Dragusin’s entrance was met with immediate action from the two, meaning that for the last several weeks, the Romanian has only made three appearances off the bench.

But Dragusin took advantage of the chance to play well for 40 minutes when Van van Ven was forced off the field due to an injury at Villa Park on Sunday.

Furthermore, according to The Athletic, the center back has been taking care of himself off the field.

According to the site, Dragusin has an obsession with his physical appearance and fitness level.

Dragusin weighs his own meals, monitors his sleep patterns, and, if time permits, visits the gym both before and after training sessions.

The 22-year-old is said to like to play chess in his own time.

Football players’ off-field actions have a significant impact on how well they perform in the current game.

Dragusin is obviously a model-professional, which may help to explain why he was prepared to take the field on Sunday.

Before replacing Van de Ven at Villa Park, the Romanian international had only managed eight minutes on the bench in three outings.

It’s reasonable to assume that the new Spurs signing fit in well next to Romero, and Tottenham supporters will be relieved to see Van van Ven replaced by a good player.
